Omnistar Tell-a-Friend Software is simple to setup, and easy to customize. The tell a friend software takes only a few minutes to get running on your site, and if you wish you can easily add your own graphics and change the color settings of the software. You can also customize the text of the email sent out.

Step 1: Select Display Settings

You should enter the display settings page of the Tell software. From here you can add graphics go the popup window, add your own tell a friend button that matches the design of your site, and you can customize the colors and actions of the window. Click Update and your changes will be saved.

Step 2: Select Email Settings

You will next customize the email that is sent out from the software. You can make changes to the subject and text of the email. You can also include an html email, either one you upload and host yourself, or one of our templates.

Step 3: Copy code onto your site

You will next be adding the code for the tell a friend button onto your site. Select Copy Code and add the code to your site where you want the button to appear. Now your site has the tell a friend button! Its that simple.

Step 4: Send Emails to your users

Your site will now have a tell a friend button, as individuals use your button, you can send emails from the Send Email menu. Enter the subject and select whether you will send to individuals who have recommended your site or received recommendations or both. You can also limit based on when individuals were added to the software. Enter text and select whether you wish to include an html version of the email. Click send and the software will send the email.
